Trad Thursdays at Gourmet Food Parlour Salthill

Our Salthill restaurant will be open late every Thursday from the 17th of September to the 14th November.

Gourmet Food Parlour will be hosting late night Thursday evenings from the 26th of September to the 14th of November.

Enjoy a 4 week Wool Spinning Course with legendary Weaver Seamus Kirwan followed by Thursday evenings full of music. Gourmet Food Parlour Salthill will be open for walk ins and bookings, so if you are looking for a cup of coffee with friends or a hearty meal be sure to pop in to us! We will be open from 9am to 9pm these dates.

Intro to Traditional Irish Wool Spinning

26th of September to 17th of October

4 week workshop

Enjoy a 4 week workshop on Traditional Irish Methods of Wool Spinning.

Join traditional weaver Seamus Kirwan as he discusses the history of wool fibre and its various uses. Seamus will also teach participants the Irish tradition of wool spinning and hand-weaving.

Participants will be taught how to spin their own wool on individual spinning wheels and a variety of different wheels.

Each participant will receive a hand spindle of their own to take home.
