Our Story

Tradition and great flavour are the heart and soul of Irish cuisine. Since 2006 Gourmet Food Parlour has believed in sharing those traditions. We invite the people of Dublin to take part in sharing- with us and with each other—the GFP way of dining. If you follow along with our menu, you will experience tasty breakfast and brunch creations, enjoy our lunch menus which are inspired to tantalise the taste buds or enjoy our fun tapas nights with our creative chefs sharing plates. With the help of your server, enjoy the most important ingredients in your dining experience: food, friends, and family.

Owners Lorraine and Lorraine created GFP in 2006 with the inspiration to serve a funky style of food, using simple locally sourced ingredients whilst serving it all in a fun relaxed way.

All our locations; Dun Laoghaire, Swords, Malahide, Santry, House, 37 Dawson Street, Deli Bar and our catering division offer an eclectic mix of our homemade, locally sourced foods.  From our GFP family to yours, we invite you to sit back and relax while filling yourself with more than food.

Lorraine & Lorraine

What they say

  • The girls seem to run six eateries, a massive business, as easily as somebody else who might labour lovingly over one coffee shop, and they do it all with an aura of glamourous fabulousness.

    Lucinda O’SullivanThe Independent Life Magazine
  • Best friends forever' is the winning motto for cafe owners

    Sean GallagherThe Irish Independent
  • The pair share a positive attitude that has stood to them in the last ten years in establishing the Gourmet Food Parlour, with branches in Swords, Malahide and Dun Laoghaire, as well as a hugely successful catering division.

  • Fresh, quality, and homemade were three key criteria and about 99 per cent of the food is produced on site each day, with locally sourced ingredients where possible.

    Olive KeoghThe Irish Times
  • The food is uncomplicated yet delicious and it’s nice to know you’re eating sustainable ingredients and mostly Irish produce.

  • As a performance nutritionist working in elite sport my job is to ensure that only the highest quality food is provided to the teams I work with (Dublin Senior Football and Leinster Rugby). This food is to help these athletes meet their health and performance goals such as fueling on field performance and recovery from training. Gourmet Food Parlour have provided the highest standard of food and excellent service over the past 3 years. They have made my job of ensuring these athletes meet their nutrition needs so much easier through their high standards, innovation and flexibility. They have always been open to new meal suggestions and are consistently trying to improve the variety of meals they provide. I have an excellent relationship with all staff members in Gourmet Food Parlour and highly recommend their service as a food provider.

Lorraine and her outstanding team, work in partnership with the Dublin football management team to design a nutritional performance strategy that caters for each players’ individual dietary needs and enables them to perform at their optimum level throughout the season. The food is always of exceptional quality and prepared to a very high standard, while including all the key healthy nutritional ingredients necessary for high performing sports teams. • Gourmet Food Parlour are a superb team. The nutritious refuel meals that they serve us are so vital for our training & match days and work incredibly well in conjunction with our training schedules & food plans. I always pop into GFP Swords for brunch on the weekends with family and friends, and it’s even a great spot for night time dining too. I love that I can get their superfood salad whether I’m grabbing lunch in town or at home in Swords or Malahide. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and will always recommend the best choice from the menu. I just cannot wait to see how the GFP Swords Expansion turns out, if Dun Laoghaire is anything to go by, Swords has got a lot to look forward to.

  • We worked closely with Gourmet Food Parlour to design custom menus for our themed lunches held in House.  The creativeness of the menus to meet the theme and the quality of the food was excellent.  Everyone that attended a Lovin Brunch always commented on the amazing spread and the amount of food on offer.  Gourmet Food Parlour excelled at being our preferred partner at these events.
